At the Ethnografic Park "Pirámides de Güimar" it is possible to visit the
step pyramids of Güimar. Since 1991 they
have been researched by the norwegian anthropologist Thor Heyerdahl, who discovered
analogies in architectural style with other pyramides in Mexico, Peru and Mesopotamia.
The Museum gives information on different theories about origins and migrations of
ancient civilisations.
