Panorama Photo-Tour across the North-East of Tenerife

North-east we call in the broadest sense all areas of the island north a fictitious line of Puerto de la Cruz towards Santa Cruz.

We crossed this area of the island in three different tours. One along the northern roads over Tacoronte and Valle de Cuerra towards Punta del Hidalgo. The middle tour leads first to San Cristóbal de La Laguna, university town and only bishop's see of the Canaries, which we also assign its own city tour. Leaving La Laguna northward, one reaches over Las Mercedes a splendidly constructed road, which follows the crest of the Anaga mountains to Chamorga. Here open up great views on a very wild landscape. Due to the trade winds often cloudy and foggy, here are real small nebula mountains with marvelously lush green nature.

On the return tour from Chamorga one can turn near the Mirador Bailadero towards the south and reaching San Andrés and the neighbouring beach Las Teresitas, which is thanks to imported sand from the Sahara one of the few white beaches of the island. If one should have still desire and force, also because beeing right in the area, you can go to visit Santa Cruz. But actually one should take for this location more time. Because we are nevertheless in the capital of the Canaries and so we combined the pictures of this impressive city here into an own route.

There are other city tours for La Orotava and El Sauzal.
