Palm Mar is located in the extreme south of the island at the Costa del Silencio - although it could soon be over with the so-called "Coast of Silence", because a lot of new hotel resorts will be raised. Also Pal Mar is still "under construction", and many not yet finished hotel buildings can be seen.

The beaches are stony and smaller as those of the big holiday centers Los Cristianos and Playa de los Americas only a few kilometres away. That is why the visitors have in Palm Mar (still) a little more silence, because it is not so overcrowded.
