On the way from Tacoronte to Juan Fernandez the road is curling like a snake in serpentines through the steep coast towards Mesa del Mar. From this road one has a fantastic view on the northcoast.

But then down at the waterfront stands one of the best known architectural eyesores of the island. The apartments have been built directly in the waterline full of cliffs, partly into the sea.

However there is not only a natural seawater pool but also a wonderful dark vulcanic sand beach, to reach directly through a small pedestrian underpass.
