This Mecca of surfers, where Worldcups has taken place, lies in the south of Tenerife in one of the sun-safest regions of the islands. Therefore the place is probably so popular with many Tinerfeños to spend their summer vacation here.

In the city center with its central Plaza and a small beach are also numerous shops, restaurants and hotels. To the west of it is the 3 kilometer long beach Playa del Médano, which reaches up to the bright reddish Montaña Roja. This beach is ideal for sunbathing and surfing.
